When Macbook air comes out, it seems that everyone just knows it’s small and light. But the two features we can not ignore that have surprised me the most are:
Best - The SSD drive makes certain things ridiculously fast. Launching applications, rebooting, waking from sleep - all of these take a fraction of the time they take on my MacBook Pro or PowerMac G5 Quad.
Worst - There are two options for the hard disk, one is the PATA 80G(it’s not macth air’s highest technic, old version of harddisk and don think still on sale in the world, the other one is 64GB SSD drive, it’s incredible fast but with the superhigh price. The length of time that the battery takes to charge is absurd. This is particularly painful since treating it as a travel/portable machine. It need to find an outlet and recharge. With the MacBook Air, the benefits of this seem to be slight.
